Fireplaces and Outdoor Fire pit
West End Pond is equipped with a gas fireplace in the living room.
Fireplace Instructions:
Using the remote, simultaneously press and hold the lower left and upper right buttons (OFF and HIGH FLAME) until you hear a beep from within the fireplace.
You will hear a series of beeps as the pilot lights and then the rest of the fireplace lights. This process will take several seconds.
We find that once the fireplace is going for a couple of minutes, it's best to lower the flame as it heats the room very quickly.
We recommend turning the ceiling fans on low to help circulate the air and even out the temperature.
Please open the glass doors but leave the screens closed when ever teh fire is in use.
DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE FIREPLACES. This will cause smoke to billow into the house and is a very dangerous risk of catching the house on fire.
Never leave a fireplace burning unattended. This is a fire hazard.
Outdoor fire pit
Outdoor fire pit is for your enjoyment and can be used with adult supervision only. The fire pit gets VERY hot so extreme caution is needed around fire at all times.
Split seasoned wood is provided but we encourage you to bringing a lighter and bundles of dry kindling with you.
There is an ash bucket near the fire pit to place your cooled ashes. Please use provided shovel to empty fire pit after use.
See rules below. Thank you for being cautious and keeping the house safe by following the rules!
